The faculty members of the Department of Philosophy and Political Science provide educational support to students of all years and forms of study, both full-time and part-time. They are actively involved in the training of bachelor’s, master’s, and postgraduate students. The teaching staff is characterized by a commitment to continuous professional development.
The high quality of instruction is ensured by a strong academic team comprising leading professors and associate professors, many of whom are authors of original lecture courses. The department’s specialists apply modern forms and methods of teaching.
The results of the department's academic pursuits are reflected in numerous publications, including monographs, articles in academic journals, teaching materials, and presentations at international and national conferences and congresses. One important form of research activity is the organization of theoretical and methodological seminars that provide a platform for discussing the most pressing issues in contemporary science.
A key priority of the department is to provide students, master's candidates, and postgraduate researchers with comprehensive teaching and learning resources, including materials for distance learning. All academic content is available in electronic format.
Over the years, the composition of the department has changed both quantitatively and qualitatively. Currently, all full-time lecturers hold academic degrees. According to the staffing plan, the department includes six full-time faculty members and one senior laboratory assistant:

- Oleksandra Zinchyna – Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor, Deputy Head of the Department
- Nataliia Kozyrieva – Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor
- Yana Kundenko – Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor
- Liudmyla Radionova – Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor
- Inna Mykhailova – Candidate of Political Sciences, Associate Professor
- Abdelrahman Daabul – Senior Laboratory Assistant
Faculty members teach courses for undergraduate students of all specializations and study modes, including the following disciplines:
- Philosophy
- Conflictology
- Logic
- The City as a Social System
- Political Science
- Sociology
Additionally, students majoring in Public Administration and Management take the course "Institutional System of Ukraine."
At the second (master’s) level of higher education, an elective course is offered:
"Organization and Conduct of Sociological Research."
For postgraduate students, the department provides the course:
"Philosophy and Methodology of Scientific Research."
The department’s lecturers have published a range of lecture outlines, methodological manuals on core disciplines, and other instructional materials.
Considerable efforts have been made to support distance learning. E-learning courses have been developed on the Moodle platform. All teaching materials are available electronically in the university’s digital repository.
The department’s academic professionalism has fostered the development of a scholarly school in the philosophy of municipal governance. Its reputation within the academic community is evidenced by numerous requests for peer reviews of dissertations, abstracts, monographs, textbooks, and other scholarly works.
The academic interests of the department's faculty cover a wide range of human existence, including:
– relationships between the individual and society;
– citizen and the state;
– culture and spirituality;
– digitalization and informatization of society;
– philosophy and sociology of the city;
– sociology of youth;
– gender studies;
– development of personal creative potential;
– state-building and public administration;
– the social state and civil society;
– development of higher education in Ukraine.
The faculty pays special attention to students’ scientific engagement, facilitating their participation in academic and practical conferences (with publication of abstracts) and in national student research competitions.
The teaching staff of the Department of Philosophy and Political Science ensures a high level of humanitarian education for students, contributes to the effective organization of the educational process, promotes the development of critical thinking among students and postgraduates, and fosters a system of value orientations and social norms essential for the personal development of future professionals in the field of urban management.
